OpenAI just made its newest model family, GPT-5.6, available to the public. It comes in three tiers: Sol (the most powerful), Terra (a capable everyday option at roughly half the price), and Luna (fast and affordable for high-volume work). You pick the tier that matches the job.
Sol is the headliner. It can work through complex coding projects, research tasks, and multi-step workflows on its own, checking its work as it goes. A new 'ultra' mode takes it further, running multiple AI agents at the same time to finish demanding work faster. It also creates polished presentations, documents, and spreadsheets from a single prompt.
