How We Did It |
Here’s the exact workflow we’d use again. The goal was simple: create a branded dashboard concept that looked polished enough for a client, investor, or internal review, then prep it for buildout without wasting hours on redesigns. |

1. Start with a high-fidelity dashboard project |
Inside Claude Design, we began in the web app and chose a new prototype project. For this use case, high-fidelity was the right starting point because the founder didn’t need boxes and placeholders. 2. Write a short prompt, then let follow-up questions shape the brief |
Instead of overengineering the first prompt, we kept it focused: |

4. Generate the first draft, then refine with comments |
Once the initial dashboard was ready, we didn’t regenerate the whole thing just because a few details were off. We used comment mode to click on exact areas and request changes like improving card spacing, fixing crowded text, and making charts easier to scan. |
