Welcome back, Indexers!
It's been a huge week for Claude so we will be covering everything that's new with Claude, Midjourney releases their latest update, a web-editor allowing users to expand, retexture and stylise both generated and uploaded images using text prompts, there's a new open-source text to video model on the block and we show you how you can have a play for free. We have an awesome prompt this week if you want to brush up on your interview skills and much more.
Let's dive in...
In This Issue

Prompt
Have an interview coming up? Looking for a new job? With the advent of OpenAI's advance voice mode (which you can use for free for limited number of times/minutes) this has to be one of the best use-cases.
In order to use this prompt, first I would recommend going to settings > personalise > customiseGPT > enable and then in the text box for how you want ChatGPT to respond, add "In voice chats, just reply with 'hmm' to everything I say until i finish the sentence with the word 'Done'."
After doing that, click here, and physically speak this prompt after engaging the voice chat (by pressing the microphone).
Check the prompt out here (Have you got an awesome prompt you want to share? Login to The Prompt Index and click "Submit" and share it with the community you can also save prompts and access your saved list from anywhere using our Chrome extension, get it here).

The Ministry of AI
Master GraphRAG.
GraphRAG is a powerful tool that combines the strengths of large language models with graph-based knowledge representation. This hands-on course will guide you through the process of setting up, running, and visualising complex text analyses using GraphRAG in Google Colab.
It's outstandingly good at increasing accuracy and retrieval of information over large amounts of data that it hasn't previously been trained on.

Claude updates
Claude 3.5 Sonnet
Anthropic has released an updated version of Claude 3.5 Sonnet, showcasing significant improvements across various benchmarks. This enhanced model outperforms its predecessor and competitor models in several key areas:
Coding Proficiency: Performance on SWE-bench Verified improved from 33.4% to 49.0%, surpassing other publicly available models.
Tool Use: On TAU-bench, an agentic tool use task, performance increased from 62.6% to 69.2% in the retail domain and from 36.0% to 46.0% in the airline domain.
Speed: Claude 3.5 Sonnet operates at twice the speed of Claude 3 Opus while maintaining the same cost structure.
These improvements make Claude 3.5 Sonnet an excellent choice for complex tasks such as context-sensitive customer support and orchestrating multi-step workflows.
Claude 3.5 Haiku: (Coming Soon)
Anthropic has announced that Claude 3.5 Haiku will be released later this year to complete the Claude 3.5 model family. Anthropic have stated it will have similar costs to Haiku 3 whilst having the power of the current version of Opus which is incredible.
Claude 3.5 Haiku is particularly strong on coding tasks. For example, it scores 40.6% on SWE-bench Verified, outperforming many agents using publicly available state-of-the-art models—including the original Claude 3.5 Sonnet and GPT-4o.
Computer Use: AI Takes Control
In a groundbreaking development, Claude now offers a Computer Use feature in public beta via an API. This innovative capability allows the AI to:
- Navigate desktop applications
- Move cursors and click buttons
- Type text and fill out forms
- Browse the web
- Potential Use Cases:
- Automating repetitive tasks
- Assisting with data entry and form filling
- Streamlining research processes
- Enhancing accessibility for users with disabilities
It achieves this by sending regular screenshots and directing the mouse movements one movement at a time.
Anthropic has implemented several safety measures, including systems to prevent prompt injection attacks and classifiers to detect potential misuse. While this feature opens up exciting possibilities, it's important to note that it's still in the experimental stage and should be used with caution with even Anthropic acknowledging it's more of a gimmick at this early stage and not super accurate. You can read their full release here.
AI Research
We breakdown research papers everyday, here's our top picks from our blog section this week.Researchers have developed VLA4CD, a groundbreaking AI model that can simultaneously handle language interaction and decision-making tasks - something current AI models can't do effectively. Built on transformer architecture, the model demonstrates its capabilities particularly in autonomous driving scenarios, where it can both navigate vehicles and maintain conversations in real-time.
Beyond Accuracy: Evaluating AI Models' Confidence on the Road to Artificial General Intelligence
Researchers have developed a new Dynamic Intelligence Assessment (DIA) framework to better evaluate AI capabilities, moving beyond traditional static benchmarks like the Turing Test. The approach introduces DIA-Bench, a dataset of 150 dynamic task templates spanning mathematics, cybersecurity, and cryptography, with tasks appearing in multiple formats. The study introduces four new evaluation metrics (Reliability Score, Task Success Rate, Confidence Index, and Near Miss Score) to assess not just problem-solving ability but also AI confidence and consistency

$1Million bug bounty - Apple has recently announced a significant expansion of its bug bounty program, offering up to $1 million for security researchers who can find critical vulnerabilities in its new Private Cloud Compute (PCC) system. This initiative is part of Apple's efforts to ensure the security and privacy of its upcoming Apple Intelligence AI service. Read the article here.
Midjourney - recently released two massive new features Image Editor which allows you to upload your own images to Midjourney's platform and expand, crop, or modify elements directly within the Midjourney ecosystem. They also released a feature called retexturing, imagine being able to change the texture or material of objects in your image seamlessly, like transform a wooden table into glass or alter the lighting to give your scene a completely new atmosphere all while maintaining the original image's integrity. That's exactly what you can do with retexturing. This is available to yearly subscribers, rolling out slowly to all users.
OpenSource Text to Video - Genmo has launched Mochi 1, an open-source text-to-video model that generates high-quality videos from text prompts. With 10 billion parameters, it produces smooth 480p videos at 30 frames per second and adheres closely to user instructions. Available for free under the Apache 2.0 license. Best of all, you can give it a go here for free.
