It establishes a structured and iterative process for creating an optimal prompt for chatGPT using a collaborative, multi-step approach. Works best with ChatGPT 4.

Guide
OpenAI released an official prompting guide last week, with 6 main approaches you can take to improve your prompts, heres a very brief summary but if you missed it.
Provide Clear Instructions
Be as explicit as possible when posing questions or tasks to the model. Give concrete examples, specify desired length and format of responses, and break down complex prompts into simpler steps.
Leverage Reference Materials
Supply articles, documents, or websites for the model to cite in its responses. This grounds the model in factual information rather than letting it generate made-up answers.
Decompose Complex Problems
Break down complicated tasks into discrete sub-steps so the model isn't overwhelmed. For long conversations, regularly summarise previous dialogue.
Allow Time for Reasoning
Instruct the model to think through problems step-by-step rather than jumping to conclusions. Ask follow-up questions to surface missed details.
Integrate External Tools
Have the model write and execute code for accurate math/calculations. Use embeddings-based search to retrieve relevant knowledge sources.
Test Systematically
Create comprehensive test suites covering diverse use cases. Evaluate outputs algorithmically against gold-standard reference answers where possible.
